Federal W-4 Form Requirements:

The IRS has released a new version of its mandatory Federal W-4 form. All employers are required to have the most recent version of the W-4 form available for employees.

The Department of Homeland Security has also recently updated the mandatory I-9 form for the first time since 1991. Employers must have a correctly completed I-9 form for every employee. Failure to present the form to government officials upon request can lead to fines of over $1,000 per employee.

Attorney Elizabeth Ricci has presented Continuing Legal Education courses to attorneys and human resources directors.  Likewise, Rambana & Ricci, P.A. represents employers interested in W-4 and I-9 compliance as well  as can work on a retainer basis or ad hoc to ensure W-4 and I-9 compliance.

Specifically, our attorneys can provide substantive advice on:

- Corporate criminal and civil liability

- Collateral consequences including civil RICO and debarment

- Identifying areas of liability

- Employment verification systems (such as E-verify)

- Social Security No-Match letters

- How to develop a corporate compliance program

- Subcontractor liability

Please contact Ms. Ricci directly to discuss representation options.
